Rue St. Jacques by Jim Hogan

$10.00

In Rue St. Jacques Jim Hogan brings us a poetry of wit and intelligence, with the undergird of humor. Awake to image, awake to music, awake to irony. And yet for all that these poems maintain a certain classical distance, as relates to that which comes between the viewer and the viewed, they are inevitably generous, inexorably, even surprisingly, tender.

Excerpt

Klee

These little gems of line and tone
Intense as crystal, whimsical as wind
Poignant as green, the very wisps
Of mad love, love on a string, over
Darker orange.
