Cincinnati’s Chase Public will host a reading by Dos Madres poets Rhonda Pettit, Dick Hague, Susan Glassmeyer, and Pauletta Hansel, May 10, 7:30-9:30pm.
The poets will be reading from their most recent works: Palindrome by Pauletta Hansel, Studied Days – Poems Early & Late in Appalachia by Dick Hague, Riding the Wave Train by Rhonda Pettit, and Invisible Fish by Susan Glassmeyer. Pauletta Hansel’s other Dos Madres books include First Person, What I Did There, and Tangle. Dick Hague is also the author of Burst – Poems Quickly, During the Recent Extinctions, Where Drunk Men Go, and Beasts, River, Drunk Men, Garden, Burst, & Light – Sequences & Long Poems, all by Dos Madres Press. Pauletta Hansel, first Poet Laureate of Cincinnati is the 2018 winner of the Weatherford Award for best book of Appalachian poetry for her collections Palindrome. Dick Hague’s During the Recent Extinctions was the Weatherford Award winner for best book of Appalachian poetry, 2012.
