Dos Madres Press Poetry Reading

Pauletta Hansel says she is looking forward to reading along with the “incomparable Richard Hague at the incomparable Mercantile Library (both Cincinnati literary giants in their own ways) on Tuesday, July 17.” Please join them for Two Takes on Memoir: a Reading/Discussion by Richard Hague and Pauletta Hansel. Their focus will be on their recently published memoirs, Earnest Occupations: Teaching, Writing, Gardening & Other Local Work by Hague in prose and Pauletta’s Palindrome, which is primarily poetry (she will read from other work, as well, in the interest of demonstrating “poetry as memoir”.

Pauletta Hansel, Cincinnati’s first Poet Laureate, is the author of First Person, What I Did There, Tangle, and Palindrome. Richard Hague is author of Burst – Poems Quickly, During the Recent Extinctions, Where Drunk Men Go, Beasts, River, Drunk Men, Burst & Light – Sequences and Long Poems, and also Studied Days- Poems Early & Late In Appalachia. Richard Hague is also the editor of the Dos Madres anthology, Realms of the Mothers – The First Ten Years of Dos Madres Press.
