The Abiding Image: Crafting Poetry from your Life

The Abiding Image Workshop provides guidance in using life material to create po- etry; poets Cathy smith Bowers & Pauletta hansel will also work with participants to give and receive feedback on poems students have brought with them. Led by poet and teacher Cathy smith Bowers, author of The Candle I Hold Up to See You, A Book of Minutes Traveling in Time of Danger and The Love That Ended Yesterday in Texas, the first winner of what became the Walt McDonald First-book Poetry Award Series. Cathy teaches at Queens University MFA Program, Antioch Writers Workshop and other programs.

Tuition is $40, including lunch. Early-bird discount for registrations by January 18.
